My Downshift

My name is Simon and this is the story of my journey on the downshifting path. According to the Oxford dictionary Downshift is a verb chiefly N. Amer. 1 change to a lower gear. 2 change to a less stressful lifestyle. That's what I am aiming for. After 20 years working in the City I seek a more fulfilled and balanced lifestyle for myself and family. That doesn't mean giving it all up ala Tom and Barbara Good, but I am making some changes, check out my first post, The Story So Far...

Monday 23rd October

Still at my brothers. Had a great weekend with the family. It's my neice's 16th birthday next weekend so much talk of that.

Travelled back after lunch. Took almost 5 hours to do 200 miles as the traffic and roadworks were so bad.

SJ's mum came over. It's halfterm so she is looking after the girls for a couple of days.
