My Downshift

My name is Simon and this is the story of my journey on the downshifting path. According to the Oxford dictionary Downshift is a verb chiefly N. Amer. 1 change to a lower gear. 2 change to a less stressful lifestyle. That's what I am aiming for. After 20 years working in the City I seek a more fulfilled and balanced lifestyle for myself and family. That doesn't mean giving it all up ala Tom and Barbara Good, but I am making some changes, check out my first post, The Story So Far...

Special Midweek Post

My brother (a police officer in the West Midlands force), is running an online auction of football memorabilia to raise money for the West Midlands Police Benevolent Fund and Leukaemia Research. All of the items have been donated following the unexpected death of a police officer and his brother last year .

100% of the money raised will be donated to the nominated charities.
